Beginners Class - Begin here... me for the Beginning series? Then Knitting 101 is for you. You will learn to cast on stitches, the knit and purl stitches, casting off, and weaving in ends. You will make swatches of
stockinet, reverse stockinet, and garter stitches. With this class you are ready to take on basic scarves, shawls, and afghans.

Bead Crochet Bracelet - Learn this internationally popular technique for making vintage bead rope jewelry while creating a beautiful bracelet or necklace. No crochet experience is necessary. Materials: 6 colors of size 6/0 seed beads; #10 crochet thread; 2.1 Ð 1.5 mm steel crochet hook; scissors; bead mat; & thread heaven. Cost based on private lesson fees.

Finishing Clinic - This clinic is for those who are at a point in a project that requires sewing or other finishing work and are just not sure the best way to get the job done. This is an informal class designed to give you personal help with your project. Materials: Project in progress; tools such as tapestry needles, holders, a crochet hook and the needles/hook used to work the project.

Lace Scarf - You've learned the elements of lace knitting and are ready for your first project. How about a graceful scarf? The first week will get you started with a provisional cast on, tips and tricks of knitting lace and the rhythm of lace knitting. The second week will be all about edging and finishing the scarf. Materials: 400y (or more) lace weight or fingering weight yarn in a light color Ð much easier to see your work; US1, 2 or 3 knitting needles for lace yarn or US3, 4 & 5 for fingering (preferably circulars); crochet hook (2 - 2.25mm); stitch markers; scissors; a small amount of light weight contrasting yarn; and pencil & paper.

You will be introduced to several different techniques for sock construction then choose the one that you prefer to make your first sock. A great project for trips, sport events, or while waiting for your children's lessons.
